What do you do when you have family and friends coming over? You give them a Warm Welcome!
The National Black MBA Association Austin Chapter, in partnership with the Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce, and Soulciti, asks you to come out, bring friends, and most of all, bring donations as we host Operation Warm Welcome. Our recently evacuated guests could really use our help, and it is on us to show them that all is not lost. We welcome them to our city and would love to help. Please bring your donations to the Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce Offices (912 E 11th St Suite A, Austin, TX 78702) on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The below items are needed:
- New Towel
- New Washcloth
- Soap
- Tissue
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Feminine products
- Shampoo
- Comb
- A note of encouragement
Additional important items include:
- New Blanket
- New Pillow
- Wipes
- Baby bottles/formula
- Diapers
- Baby food
- Toys for kids
How to create your welcome basket:
Get a reusable bag(s) or plastic container with a lid
Fill the container with listed items
Drop your donation off at the GABC Office
We welcome completed welcome packages as well as individual items. Volunteers are needed as well. If interested in volunteering, please email president@austinblackmba.org.
