NBMBAA 2008 Election Offices & Responsibilities

The membership at the October meeting, shall elect by a combination of the majority of members present and absentee ballots received by the day of the election. Only members whose dues are paid as of September 9, 2008 shall be eligible to hold positions as officers. Candidates for President must have served at least one term as chapter officer or committee co-chair.


The President
1. Shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Chapter 2. Shall preside at all meetings of the membership of the Chapter & Executive Committee. 3. Is charged with the overall administration of the Chapter and with maintaining its positive image. 4. Is one of the two Chapter representatives at National Board meetings.


The Vice President - Administration
1. Shall assist the President in administration of the Chapter. 3. Shall oversee the implementation and revisions of the Chapter By-Laws. 4. Shall, in absence of the President, preside at meetings. 5. Shall oversee the activities of the Student Affairs Committee. 6. Shall record the minutes of the proceedings of Chapter and Executive Committee meetings. 7. Shall receive the reports of all chapter committees. 8. Shall oversee the activities of the Community Relations Committee.


The Vice President - Operations
1. Shall oversee the corporate relations activities 2. Shall oversee the programs committee 3. Shall oversee special project activities of the Chapter.


The Vice President - Communications 1. Shall be responsible for timely distribution of all Chapter communications including newsletters, meeting notices, etc. 2. Shall be responsible for the proper and legal mailings of all notices to members. 3. Shall oversee all marketing activities.


The Vice President - Membership
1. Shall be responsible for maintenance of accurate membership records. 2. Shall maintain the Chapters database of members, supporters, prospective members, etc. 3. Shall oversee the activities of the Membership Committee. 4. Shall oversee the programs committee.


The Vice President - Finance
1. Shall be in charge of the Chapters funds and financial records. 2. Shall collect and remit any members dues paid locally to the National Office. 3. Shall collect any special assessment levied by the Chapter and all funds raised from special events of the Chapter. 4. Shall coordinate the development of the Chapter budget. 5. Shall work with the VP Membership to insure the accuracy of the membership rolls. 6. Shall oversee fund raising/special event activities. 7. Shall be responsible for treasury activities.
